I met Peter on Cupid.com 3 years ago. I had to move away for a job, but now we are in the same town again, and getting married in September. I could not have asked for a more perfect match! I joined Cupid in early 2005. My husband joined about the same time. I was from Iowa City and set my search results for only that area. He was from Muscatine and set his search for wider. Needless to say, I was a result for him, but he wasn"t one for me. At first I didn"t know if I wanted to reply. I didn"t like that idea of driving back and forth. After many emails and a sleepless night of instant messaging we decided to meet. Our first date was July 26, 2005 at the Highway 61 drive-in. It was great. I just wanted to thank you guys. Thanks to your site, I found the man I"m going to marry. I was skeptical at first, but I joined anyways last fall, and just a week or so after joining, he sent me a message. We hit it off from the very start. Almost 3 years ago I was lonely and looking for someone to spend my days with. I kept hearing about all of these online dating sites. Honestly, it sounded lame so i left it alone. Finally I saw a cupid commercial on TV and said ok, Ill try it. See if it really is worth all of the hype. So i uploaded a photo and created a profile. What was the worst that could happen? Days went by and i hadn"t found anyone who interested me. Weeks went by and then I saw the picture of the love of my life. Just to let you guys know my soul mate found me on cupid.com. Although I live in a smaller city (Quad Cities, IA)and usually know everyone, I couldn"t believe I hadn"t found him before!  Elizabeth was a "newly" single mother of two. Being a full time employee as well as a full time mom, there was little time for much else in Elizabeth's life. Chris was a thirtysomething bachelor who worked nights. He was growing ever so tired of the "meat-market" atmosphere in the bar scene.
